Mediterranean Treat

From the same brain than gave us Society Cafe & Lounge now comes a new restaurant that serves Mediterranean cuisine in fine form. Located at Mirdif City Centre Toplum welcomes you with its minimalist look,  a fine mix of white and peachy color interiors. They have 3 areas that is purposely build. One area for Grab and go, restaurant and lounge. They had opened just few months back but seems a popular hangout place with the local community.

They have finely curated a menu to give the guests something different form the usual offering that you get when you look for a Mediterranean serving. The espresso sunrise iced watermellon latter were fine drinks, the mix of ingredients gave out an outstanding flavour profile.

The crispy calamari and bakes beetroot for starters were relly good. Loved the baked beet with the walnut,goat cheese,radish, baby spinach and this comes with balsamic dressing in bottle for us to use as desired. Loved this fresh bowl of goodness, The crispy calamari was nice, served with lemon aioli.

The grilled salmon was one fine plate,served with charred greens,grilled pumpkin, cured orange labneh. Typically fine dish from this region and the salmon was a fine piece of  meat, you can taste the freshness of the sea. The beef striploin which was 250g was a fantastic dish. Wagyu beef served with  wild mushroom bearnaise. I asked for medium and it was fantastic, the mushroom bearnaise added the extra bit of smack to this fine dish, loved it. Tiramisu was a nice treat, perfect texture and ample coffee taste, really nice. The beetroot fondant was a total surprise, topped up with creme cheese ice creme and the beet flavoured fondant was simply delicious.

Overall Toplum is Top class. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants something fine Mediterranean cuisine.
