Friday Brunch Be like
The newly launched Sri Lankan brunch at the Canal on 4 at the Gulf court hotel in Business Bay is an ideal and maybe one and only place for all Sri Lankans to call home. The place will surely take off as the friday must be place for the Islanders looking for an exciting weekend. The place is rining good vibes either from the talented DJ's who play here if not the cool unending entertainment provided by the resident band ' Blaze'.
The food was delightful to know its made by Sri Lankan chefs, using the best available ingredients they try to capture the soulful Island culinary flavours. From what we tried, they have done a good job I should say. The starters consisted of salads, mix condiments, fresh bread and the mains had all the main proteins. Chicken, beef. fish, were all served in good combinations along with rice and noodles. How can they forget the Kotthu Rotti, which was such a beauty.
The deserts were good, with a little room to improve, they had a variety of tradition offering, and modern twists too. The band and the DJ kept on adding their vibes to the overall excitement to the place. Stafff service was good, and our server Rangika took good care of us.
The place can hold upto 150 pax and they can do corporate events, private parties and theme nights.
This is definitely going to the be the next best thing in town to do for all Sri Lankans.
