Bengali Beauties
One of the few places in Dubai that serves a wide variety of Bengali Cuisine. Yes, there are other people and small timers trying to do their best but these guys take the Bengali cuisine to another level. Located in BurDubai in ground floor of Pearl Residence Hotel the restaurant can hold over 200 plus people any given day.
We tried as much of the beautiful dishes that they serve here and we loved it all. The fish fingers were really fine, where you can enjoy the meat in each bite. There was no extra coating needed to make the dish look filling but the tender fillet was good enough, Then we tried their dimer devil, this comes in a round shape half of it is boiled egg cut into half and the other half consists of meat or veg options. The portions were good, loved it. Along with this we tried Tengri Kabab, which they said is one of their best sellers. This is an tandoori item and comes in several flavours, excellent size wings these.
Then we got the desi style chilly fish, a typical Chinese dish, made using strong Indian flavours and spice levels. Bengalis' favour more of Fish than any other meat item and it was quiet evident in what came next to us, their fish fillet coated with mustard paste. Cooked in banana leaf when opening you will get the fine smell of smoked mustard fragrance, that has embraced the fish, which when gentle sliced is so soft and lovely in each bite.
They have a wide selection of Biryani, authentic to Bengal region, taste different to the main stream Biryani that we usually have. Mustard flavours are strong in presence and the rice is in deft flavours and is best enjoyed with Mug dal and your choice of meat.
Overall there was much care in the dishes which was served for us, they have not held back on the quality or the fine use of ingredients. This business which is run by a husband and wife team, they have put in their heart and passion in everything here. We wish them the best and all great success for them
