Malecon Magic

Latin Treat

Malecon rises again after sometime, as it was closed for renovation. The new look is classy, givens such a an awesome vibe  with the green theme of palm leaves, tropical foliage, laid back ambiance. The bar is quiet large and this is where the action happens. They have a live 5 piece band playing latin hits and some English in between

The Food here was good, The malecon Ceviche was good, it had seabass and crispy calamari, tad bit salty,  The empanada s was a slow cooked beef, comes wrapped in a homemade dough and creamy chilli sauce. The beef was nicely done, being slow cooked, the layers were easily chewed, again felt a bit salty here too. The main was a tenderloin strip, served with crispy tomato, roasted cauliflower and chumichurri.

This was a a top dish to enjoy, perfectly done meat and the size was excellent. A fine plate that I enjoyed much here. It was nearly 200 g of natural goodness, a perfect cut meat. The desserts were served next and we had tress leches cakes and latin style coffee creme brulee. The soft vanilla sponge cake soaked in 3 kinds of milk was a delightful dish, sweetness was not overpowering. I loved the creme brulee, such a decadent dessert that makes you sit and enjoy it slowly to the rhythm of the live music that's being played in the background.

The day we went it was a quiet day but I have no doubt that this place will kick off to be an outstanding Latin restraint in this part of town.
