The FlipSide Rocks
Had visited the newly launched restaurant in Dubai, located at the lush Century Village, Flip Side is truly an niche entrant to the market. Guess its the only restaurant in UAE serving meat that's alternate to meat. So it looks like meat, smells like meat, but its not meat. The Flipside Restobar offers a range of culinary experiences from Mexican to Indian, Chinese, Thai, Persian & European …but with a twist. All the meat is alternate, formulated from plant-based nutritious foods to taste, feel and satisfy like meat products.
The interiors concept is ‘Street Chique’, casual and fun for a lively night out. Designers Nada Kashef and Zoya Jindran conceptualized the interiors and appointed graffiti artist Abdul Wahab Madine to to include depictions of popular Netflix shows on the ceiling. The walls and furnishings are a colorful mix and match in bright lighting to give the room a cheerful street feel.
We tried their Iranian soup, which was nice, thick, and tasty, with few shakes of pepper this was good to go. The mutton flavours protien with jasmine rice was excellent.You can smell a near perfect smell of mutton emanating with meat. Loved it, The Kebab was ok, wanted it to be a bit chunkier. The burgers was good too, flavours was nice, but the bun was a bit soft, I would suggest a tad bit harder bun so its all easy to hold and take a chunky bite of the delicious burger.
