Lovely Place for Indian Cuisine
Located in the JLT J Cluster, Memsaab is a fine, simple place if you want to have a decent Indian cuisine, specially North Indian cuisine. The area is well light and colorful, have different seating arrangements, as well as all outdoor area too.
We had gone here for dinner last week for dinner, It was decently filled with people enjoying good food and watching the Cricket on their live TV. They welcome us with their drink, Jaljeera, a tradional drink thats given to your guests who visit home or before you start your meals. Shot glasses, tasted good. Next we got the Papdi Chat and paneer tikka, Loved the flavours on both, decent plates to share. Paneer tikka was was delish, loved the spice levels on that.
For the mains we got the mixed veggies curry, typical north Indian specialty, went perfectly well with the butter naan that we got. To be honest, there is some additional taste when you have India food, using your hands. The aroma, smell of the spices, all expose you to a great culinary treat. The chicken mallai tikka was fantastic. This is a fine preparation of boneless chicken, tender, again with the bread was lovely. The portions were good and I felt its value for money for a place like this in JLT. The food quality, excellent.
The desserts we got the Gulab jamun, which had two soaked in the sweet syrup and the other dish was Gulab jamun and a scoop of ice creme. Loved the presentation, A decent way to end a fine evening. Service, I would like to mention was fantastic, guys are always smiling and engaging with us, which I really appreciated.
