Farzi Cafe Delight

Fusion Mastery at Farzi

After the success of their first outlet, opened 3 years back at CityWalk, Farzi Cafe opened their 2nd outlet at the popular Mall of the Emirates. Located near the Cinema, the area is spot on, despite having few other restaurants in the  near vicinity, Farzi can surely hold its ground. These guys, undoubtedly were the first moves in taking the molecular gastro experience to another level, while the rest played catch up.

It was all about the experience, that's what they build the customer base and their fan following, and they surely are working the same magic here and seeing the number of people dining with us that day, its evident that the brand image as as much stronger from get go.

We started off with their signature drinks, made using the best ingredients, infused with a combination of many things that is served in quirky presentations. Berry blues, carrot ginger bliss, Hara apple, smoking vimto half meter cola, are some of the fine serving of beverages here. Each having its own distinct character and poise, was delicious, tasty, refreshing and fun to see.

Started off with the Salad, fresh buratta salad, fresh, lovely presentation and they went the added step of soaking the kale leaves on  Liquid nitrogen, to get the freeze look, excellent. The avocado chaat was a fine combination, the chaat was spread on top was a refreshing doze of goodness. I have not had such a combination before, loved it. The tempura prawns was a finely presented dish, large sized prawns tempered, with a mix of their special sauce.

They kept on serving all these wonderful dishes, taking each one with care and art. The way they present it to us, with a smile and cheer adds to the already great mood here. The seared wagyu curry was a dish filled with chefs art. They come to the table and perform the entire process in front of you. The chef doubles as a performer of culinary art and as a presenter, where by our chef was doing a fine job at that. You need to have this hot, and its served with hoppers, a typical south Indian eat. The chicken tikka masala was okay, nothing was outstanding for me on this, but the rest of the dishes were a sensational, sensory treat.

The desserts were live tawa mithai, another fine dish made by the chefs at the table and the kunafa nest. Loved the mithai in flavors and presentation, but the  kunafa nest. well that has been around now.

Overall this was a  fantastic dining experience that is affordable. Bantru, our host for the evening, was a pleasure. His charming smiles and professional service and poise was another high point of the evening, even his colleauge Prakash was coming in handy to help too. Overall this was one of the best evening, enjoying fine Indian fare.
