Value For Money Lunch

 had recently visited the S hotel in Al Barsha south, which is an up and coming residential, mix use development. This area is still pretty much ease of traffic but give it a few months, its going to be a busy hub as most of Dubai is. The hotel is nice, clean, the fragrance of newness is still in tact, the natural light is ample.

I had visited their Fusion restaurant to try their Executive business  lunch, Which I feel for AED 39 was a terrific deal. You get to pick one starter from an option of  10 items and your main from 6 options and your dessert from 5 varieties. So we had the traditional Greek salad, hummous with Arabic bread for our starters. Fresh greens and dressings, and the portions was excellent. Tasted really good, sets the tone well for a perfect moment for the mains. We chose the Chicken biriyani and murg makini. The biryani was beautiful and the aroma from the spices they used was drilling our nostrils. The chicken was perfect, still hot but the bite was a delight. With the raitha on the side went well with the biryani. So was the murg makani, lovely marination and cooked to perfection, so the meat was texture perfect. Again, the serving on these dishes were really good, as I mentioned, this is fully worth the AED 39 you spend.

Desserts, we took the Double chocolate cake and Raspberry cheesecake. Loved both these beauties, I would have loved the base of the cheesecake to be a bit hard, but the overall taste was delicious, they had a good sweet balance on these cakes.

Overall, this was a filling experience, where my hunger was quenched with me hardly feeling the pinch on the pocket. The service team was really good. Had  the opportunity to speak to the Head Chef, who took time to share his experience and gave some back story for some of the dishes. It was a pleasure meeting him. I loved my time here and I am surely coming to check their Friday Brunch.
