Lovely Arabic Cuisine
Cafe Bazza at the beautiful City Walk area is one of the best restaurants that serve Arabic cuisine. The place its self is stunning as it appeals to a homely set up of an Arabic household. Primarily a Kuwaiti restaurant they equally have a wide range of dishes from this region.
Started off with a Bazza cocktail, a fresh milk based juice with a mix of fresh fruits, a smooth drink. To go with this I got the Bazze Salad, which was tasty combination of mixed leaves, chicken mousakhan and houllmi, simply worth for aed 39. They have a crispy combo which had a 4 varieties of fried small bites, which had samboosa, kebbeh, pakora and fried potato. These were perfect bite sized pieces.
So far,I was enjoying the food here, they use the best ingredients, the portion size was good. Their traditional hummus and Kebdah was good. I liked the kebdeh which was lacking the over powering of pomegranate mollases here. Loved it. The hummus dipped with the hot bread was a pure delight.
One dish that caught be by surprise was the Chicken grandmother's style, a filling dish of Chicken with mushroom and cheese. Cheese covers the top of this dish, sealing the beautiful flavours of small chicken pieces and the earthy flavours of the mushroom.
The kunafa was different, they serve the sweet syrup and pistachio flakes separately. I am not a big fan of Kunafa as I always disliked the overpowering sweetness. But what I tried here was a perfect balance of sweetness and we can choose how soft or hard we like by pouring the syrup ourselves.
Overall It was a great time here, Loved it, the staff here made our experience great. Yassim, Edith were all gentle and always with a smile. Ahmad, who runs the show here is a seasoned restauranter. It was my pleasure spending some time talking to him, This is one place I am coming back again,
