Rola Wala Rocks On

Rola Wala At Last Exit

Well, these guys opened their first branch at the Last Exit Al Khawaneej. Well, you may wonder another fast food serving India food, beep.... your wrong. Well you can be excuse for thinking that way, but after you read their back story and after trying their fantastic offering, you will be a changed man... Here is a snipet of their story ( from their website www.rolawala.com)

EPIC street food flavours discovered on Kolkata backstreets, Bombay beaches, and Keralan waterways led Aussie Mark Wright on a journey, to bring the incredible experience of Indian street food back to the UK.
Arriving back in London from India in 2012, the burgeoning British street food industry provided the perfect vehicle to realise his ambition, but setting up a food business in one of the worlds toughest markets isn’t easy. It was a year spent grafting – late night kitchen sessions and weekly markets fitted around a full time office job, and with support from local market groups such as Kerb (ex. Eat Street) and the Real Food Festival, Mark was able to test ideas and connect with like minded people while having a lot of fun at the very coalface of Britain’s lunchtime market – and queues of hungry people snaking around the block to get their roll made every late night shift worth it.

— THE ‘MAN THAT ROLLS’ —

2013 brought about a step change in the business, with regular slots at London markets – Kerb and Street Feast, Mark finally took the leap to quit his job in advertising to totally re-imagine his concept – and Rola Wala (meaning, ‘The Man that Rolls’ in Hindi) was born. Just as the London street food scene was reaching fever pitch later that summer, Rola Wala was named Runner-up ‘Best Street Food’ by the Young British Foodies, and Zagat named them on their ‘Top 5 next-wave names to know’ in street food. You can read more with a bite of their roll or rice.. Well the deal is simple yo can choose how you want your roll or bowl ( bowl is the rice option) then you pick you meat ( veg or non veg) they have three veg and non veg for you to choose. Once you have done that they will mix a few of the sauces and then add a bit more condiments of your choice and then they will mix or wrap it for you. For extra AED  19 you can add some fries, drinks.
I asked for the chicken and lamb mix, with the added onions man this was a delicious bite. My wife took the rice option with chicken, even her's was a heart filling, flavorful experience. Rola wala at Khawaneej is their first outlet and I am sure they will open more soon, serving this top quality food at an affordable price. I Loved their warps so much  I am planing to go there next week
