Calicut Culinary Notes

If you fancy some south Indian culinary want, Calicut Notebook is a one place that you can go where the food wont disappoint you. Having 4 restaurants around Dubai and of which three of it is in the Lulu Hypermarkets, well no wonder why many south Asians have found this to be there go to place,

As you as you sit, they offer their spicy tamarind welcome shot, which clears your pallet to send you on a beautiful culinary ride. We ordered quite a few items, hoppers, which they call Appam, which comes with coconut milk and sugar to put over them and enjoy.

We ordered beef fry, allepey chicken curry, wheat parata and plain rice. No complaints about the food, simple soul food, delicious. Loved the beef fry, the sliced coconut added a bit of crunch for the dish.

What I didn't like here was the service. It took time for the first order to come and then after a while of asking for addition parata it took over 10 mins to come and that too was not hot. There was no coordination with the team, this really put us off. Maybe they should be a bit more organized to ensure customers have a good time,
