Something Truly Turkish

Bringing to you something new in the heart of Jumeirah. With many top quality restaurants opening in this stretch of prime locality, The Turkish Steak restaurant and cafe is an interesting restaurant that serves not only the name sake but an exciting offering of the rest too. Seafood, poultry, Veg all finds a good balance in the menu they serve here. The surrounding is delight, large interiors with minimalist setting, but not failing to give a homely vibe. Nice lighting balance adds wonderful tones to the place, with the option of sitting outside if you wish to enjoy this awesome weather.

We started off with their Black berry limeade, which was a mix of fresh lime, fresh blackberries and syrup, comes in a nice thick mix with ice, didn't fully like the color but the taste was delightful. Next we ordered their mix dip platter, for AED 50 this was a decent platter to share and taste all their best dips, which had muttable, hummus, muhammara, acile, ezmi and two others, all goes well with the hot bread they serve, fresh off the oven. The Gavurdagi salad was fresh and the combination of tomato, onion, cucumber, pomegranate, olive oil, lemon dressing, all were adding simple pleasure of enjoying this salad. We ordered the fried calamari for the seafood side, this was okay for me, felt it was a lacking a bit of crispness, this comes with a nice chilli sauce which compliments the dish well.

Now we come  to the main, which was a pure delight. We were treated to a special live cooking by the man himself, Mr. Latif who is the brains behind this wonderful place. They made us a massive fire show, of fire and grill of fantastic lamp chops and those chops were massive, marination on this was whole absorbed by the meat and it was delicious. This one I will truly recommend people to try it here. The whole live cooking thing adds a special touch to this place.

One thing I noticed here is the quality of the meat. This was premium quality, the size of these steaks were huge, not only the size of these goodness but the the price they charge is fully worth it. You will pay and arm and a leg for these in other places. The service is good too, lovely staff always with a smile.

Overall, this was a good night out enjoying some amazing food and service. Top quality place for a top quality experience. Good luck guys for a great future serving authentic Turkish dishes.
