Fine Chinese Fusion Embracing Emirati Cuisine
Bado Chinese has history, this is their new concept adding to the already existing interesting profiles. They come from the people who brought to us the Chinese palace, a restaurant that has been in Dubai from the early 80s. Adding to this they have a trendy concept called Han Shi Fu and now Bado Chinese.
They have dedicated this brand to the passion they have for this region. The have encompassed the local cuisine and added their Chinese flair targeting both side of the spectrum. What you have here is something interesting. A cozy set up, wooden theme all around, the large kitchen is visible, which is separated by a glass panels. Lovely seating arrangement, lively atmosphere great vibes already. We were warmly greeted by a charming host who led us to the tables.
We started off by ordering the Avocado hummus and Fried calamari. The hummus was excellent, great to see the use of Avocado being used in such a way, truly delicious with the hot pitta bread they serve. The calamari was nice too, the portion of that was excellent. This came in a mid sized wok the smell was dope, loved it.
For the drinks we chose the Thai passion and Kiwi sini, loved it,fresh and tasty. For the mains we got the Tri tip beef and the spicy Mongolian beef. The tri tip beef comes with two sides I chose the salads and couscous. The Mongolian beef was fantastic. The ingredients and the spices used were sensational. It was one of the finest Mongolian dishes that I have had. Along with this we ordered the Sujuk fried farao rice and this took me by surprise, again. The taste from this dish was unlike other sujuk dishes I have tried. This was a tad bit spicy but we loved the dish overall. This was capping off our main dishes perfectly.
The desserts consisted of one of their best serving of Matcha cake and the Karak tea creme caramel.
perfectly done on both, would have liked the portion to be a bit big on the caramel as it just vanishes, we loved the consistency was good. The matcha was good to share with two people.
It was a fantastic evening and honestly I was impressed and personally touched by the service staff here. All of whom was friendly, polite and kind. Kim was our server and she did a terrific job, such a pleasing personality. Warren, Dennis, Nadun Sonam, were all great people they were simply genuine in their approach and talk. The whole team has been well trained and for that Kudos to the team. A special mention to Mark such a polite hospitality guy, he knows what he is talking about and he even introduced me to the brains behind this culinary mastery, Chef Mathew. He too was such a passionate man for the food he creates.
Overall, this was one magical place, which is going to be anyone's go to place for fantastic Chinese / Arabic food. Their service is exemplary@! All the best guys.
