Fishing Out Something Nice

Its All About The Fish

Mota fish restaurant has been around for a decent while now in the Barsha area. A well known south Indian restaurant has slowly carved a special place in the hearts of people as to be a go to place for them to get a seafood fix. They have quite a small sitting area inside which can hold up to about 15 people inside and about 30 outdoors. The location is ideal as its on a curb, which makes the restaurant visible with no lack of parking.

They have honed their skills of serving a wide array of seafood dishes along with veg chicken and beef. We started with their special prawn fry and Netholi fry.  These were good dishes to start off,  lovely flavours, the use of coconut was nice, the Netholi fry was delicious.

Next we got their beef naatinpuram, which was a dry dish, pan fried and tossed with home spices mix. The flavours were good but for us the beef was a bit too chewy and hard at some point. The coconut think shavings were a good addition to this dish.

The chicken biryani cooked in bamboo shoot was a real shocker for us. We didn't have much high hopes for this but it was really good surprise for us. The addition flavour of the smoke from the bamboo stem was good. The portion was good for two people, this comes served in a banana leaf. I would have loved to see the Biryani coming off the bamboo, but here I missed that treat to see,

The Prawn mango curry was terrific. Thick and full of flavours, they use imported spice and herbs of for this dish. Highly recommend this with Parata or appaam. Decent sized prawns topped this dish.

Overall this was a decent place to have a wide variety of seafood, not much show or poise but what you get here is some excellently prepared seafood sensation, these guys can give you a enjoyable  experience.
