Taking French Cuisine To Another Level

Rue Royale Magnificent

Inspired by the famous street in Lyon Rue Royal is the brain child of the 2 Michelin Chef Mathieu Viannay. He is the mastermind behind the famed La Mere Brazier. Rue Royale is the esteemed Chefs first venture out of France and definitely not his last. There is something special about this place, a refined aura of excellence hovering pleasantly. The staff are all prim and elegant, white uniforms perfectly sitting on their frame. You truly feel special, this place makes you feel special.

Well designed and perfectly sourced articles elaborates the grandeur of this place. The views are spectacular, The Atlantis Hotel is definitely an icing on the cake for anyone sitting here and wanting for more. This place has got more, here they celebrate the art de vivre', here you embrace the love you have for the french and more precisely for their cuisine.

The Grand Master Mathieu, has his signature and the touch that only he can bring out and own. The eloquent menu has been perfectly curated by him, his eye for detail and passion for the cuisine is evident. We tried some items which was perfectly suggested for us by Naomi, our hostess how was fine as french Vine. She was pleasant and a joy, her smile and her accent captures a personal connection with us. We were served home bakes bread, hot off the oven with a scoop of butter. For drinks we had ordered the Spring grass and Sun king. Spring grass was a perfect concoction of green apples. basil, lemon grass and ginger while the Sun King was a mix of orange, apricot cordial and Caribbean falernum syrup. Both were nice, refreshing and didn't have the usual thick ice cubes where you normally get.

Then for the starters  we got the the farm chicken breast, veal, duck liver foir gras encased in sweet bread. The dish was wonderful, the ingredients used here is premium, the cooking is an art and the presentation was a master's touch. Loved this dish, the duck liver profile was perfect in each bite. You have an elevated sense of respect for the French cuisine with each bite. Next we got the mash potato served on the top with creme sauce. Again such a perfect touch, you have a sensory over drive from your first spoon.

Next was the main and Naomi suggested that we try their Signature. This was a pure pleasure of carnivore's delight. Prime Angus beef and all the wonderful meat of 1.2 kg all the way from USA to our plates was fascinating. We got it medium well and that's how we got it, this came with the bearnaise sauce which is known to be the child of the famous Hollandaise. They serve this several sides for which we got mash, fries and sauteed mushroom. You gotta take time and enjoy this prime cut, you can keep your phones away, not check on your watches, just enjoy each bite, look around and experience the blessings that you have in life.

For the desserts we got their signature pavlova and their Dubai -Lyon 082 ( Their regular Emirates flight) Man these were really good. Pavlova was my top dessert here. A magical play of fruits, Yuzu mint and basil. Wow oh wow. this was wonderful. Next was the Cappuccino, which was perfect and a fantastic way to end the magical experience, here.

It was our pleasure to meet the Head Chef here, such a tall, kind hearted soul, but he is surely learnt from the master himself. He knows what he is talking and doing. This really topped our time here. A big shout out to Naomi, she was excellent and a true hospitality professional, made us feel like Royal here.

This restaurant is going places and I guess this will be a great launch pad to the global market. I would like to wish the team at Rue Royale a wonderful journey ahead. Blessings guys thank you for the awesome experience.
