Love of Chai and Much More

This project is one for the books an actual home grown success story of local entrepreneurs who followed their dream by believing in themselves. Two passioanate people one an Emirati and the other an Indian, both followed their vision and what we have now as 'Project Chaiwala' is purely a labour of love.

Located in the art centre in Dubai, Al Serkal Avenue is an ideal place to start something such as this. Midst of warehouse which has now been converted to hold art houses and creative minds PCW holds his corner well. Its on the walk ways to the Cinema Akil is where PCW is.  Simple but sharp decorations donning the wall, perfectly selected wall posters add color and goes with the cinematic theme too.

I ordered the karak chai, vada pav, smashmosa and their beef brisket. Loved the vada pav, perfect spice, smashmosa was good too. This was tender slices of beef, mashed with samosa topped with onions and greens. The beef brisket was another good one, for a place such as this, where the main star is Chai, they got a good thing going with the beef brisket. Priced at AED 40, you get two decent sized wraps, actually two can have and a couple of Tea your afternoon food craving is done.

Overall I loved what I had here, but since the sitting area was on the walk way to the cinema and people were walking up and down, this caused a bit of unsettling. Your eyes would be oh, someone is going  to pass by etc, then you wait till they pass. Plus I would have loved the staff working there to have some conversation with me, I long for such small talks which attaches me to this place but today I was missing it.  PCW is a place for some good chai and some light bites.
