Fine Lebanese Fare

A Grand Place For Authentic  Lebanese Cuisine

Located at DIFC gate 3 Al Mandaloun is fine place to try authentic Lebanese cuisine. The name itself touches a chord with all Lebanese, as it means the tall curves windows, a famed structure in design back home. The place is massive and can easily hold up to 400 people. You can sit inside in their comfortable  chairs or in the open outside which has two areas, one of which for Shisha.

We started with a fresh pineapple and strawberry. This was made fresh and pure juice nothing else goes into this except the natural goodness. Then we got their famed moutable and hommous and this comes with their freshly made bread. The Hommous was  lovely with the addition of Figs. I have not tried with the fig, this was the first time.  We tried the Chicken liver, which was tender and juicy, dripping with the sauce which was mixed with lemon and pomegranate molasses.

The mixed seafood platter was our next order from the grill section. These were lovely piece of large prawns, seabream and Salmon, served with boiled vegetables. This was a fine platter and they have truly used best ingredients, not only on this but in all dishes that we tried. The Prawns were delicious, and Tuna was fantastic, crispy skin added more delight to this dish.

For the desserts we were suggested to go for their new addition, cotton candy wrapped vanilla ice creme. Nice dish, nothing extra ordinary, tasted good. One thing I would like to see more from established Lebanese restaurants is to add fusion or experiment new creations from traditionally used ingredients. This will open up totally new audience I believe.

They even serve top quality Shihsa here and the service was truly nice, friendly guys with a smile. Jijin and Mohammed took good care of us. We will surely drop by if in this area. We wish you good luck.
