Truly A Fun Place To Be
Souk Madinat Jumeirah has a plethora of restaurants, neatly tucked around the hotel and all of them have a stunning water front access in the back area. Beautiful as it is the selection of Restaurants does great justice to the hotel guests as well asto the regular customers.
Perry & Blackwelder's is an American Restaurant, celebrating the deep south BBQ heritage. They are one of the first restaurant to bring Smokehouse. They have perfected art of using the finest ingredienst and spice mixes to make the perfect smoke/ grill and fried dishes. They have a wide variety of Authentic American flavours and a fine selection of Beverages.
We started with their Cheese sticks and Chicken poppers. Chicken poppers were glazed in sweet spicy sauces, glazed with sesame seed served with a ranch dressing. Loved this, each bite was giving a fine balance of sweetness and tangy, unstoppable, loved it. The cheese sticks were chunky and inside the bread crumbs were juicy cheese, loved the pull.
For the mains we got the Fillet steak, it was a decent size chuck, perfect, tender on the inside, juicy. This was served with portabello mushroom, smoked sticks and mixed salads. Loved this dish, no wonder they called it their Juicy steaks. Next on the menu we ordered the Southern Friend Chicken, It was fried a tad bit longer for me as the skin was a bit dark but the meat inside was tender. They serve three pieces along with mash, coleslaw and gravy.
The place here is vibrant, lively and the music here is lovely, add to this they have a trio playing live music in the outdoors. They songs they were singing were a decent mix of country/ western, backed by a guitar and keys.
Overall it was an exciting evening, definitely fantastic place to meet with friends and enjoy a decent meal and drinks. We are surely coming back here for more.
