Per Te recently opened their new restaurant in the magnificent The Pointe -Palm Jumeirah. Truly beautiful place, cool interiors and elegant table setting. The area is separated into three, indoor non smoking, Indoor smoking and bar and outdoor. This is one restaurant which has full frontal view of The Atlantis - The Palm. They are on the East wing of the Point.
We started off with a passion drink and a sweet kiss, a cocktail mix. Sweet kiss is their signature drink, full tropical taste loved the presentation. Delish. Our starters consisted of Buratta, Gorgonzola salad and spicy apple fritters Burrta was really tasty, the cherry tomato evoo, were all giving out true Italian flavours. The Gorgonzola salad was a mix of fresh lettuce, cheese, roasted walnuts, black raisins. topped with balsamic dressing. The dish was good for two to share.
The green apple fritters was a total surprise for me, loved it and the spice level was at its top. They are not the usual place where when you ask for spice they just sprinkles some chilli flakes. They really give you spice when you ask for it. Each bite of the long cut green apple sticks is the perfect pair with a pint. The mains were Pansoti con brasato - This was home made pasta filled with tender beef, served with brown butter truffle sauce. The sauce made all the difference here, guess its something of a specialty for them. This dish is highly recommended.
The next dish that I would recommend is the Sirloin steak. I fully enjoyed the perfect grill of this beauty, I asked for the mushroom sauce which was a nice complement , added this this you can chose one side as well. Such a full filling plate, loved the presentation on this.
The Tiramisu was one of the kind, it was their special which again I will highly recommend. Not too sweet but a pure decadent indulgence. I totally take my hat off the team and those who work behind the hot grills. They present to their customers something good, some this special. We get to enjoy their beautiful handiwork. Thank you Derrick, Umer and Chef Jeramy. You guys are a pleasure to be with.
