Oregano - Fine Pizza Place

We had recently visited Oregano at Mirdif, located in the Al Barjeel complex next to Mirdiff mall. A quiet community centre which a nice variety of restaurants, the complex is a decent place you can visit with your family. One element here is the outdoor seating, which was excellent for the current cool weather. Their indoors give our fine touches of Italy, rustic wooden finishes, brass fixtures, small plants, all adding more Italian feel.

We were there celebrating one of our friends' kid's birthday and we were lucky it feel on a Tuesday, which means its 50% off on the food bill. What a fine way to spend with family enjoying good food at special prices. Thank you Sir.

So we ordered a lot of stuffs, namely Garlic bread, which a decent size loaf which was good to share and a fine way to start off our ordering frenzy. Next we had the Oregano wings which had about 7 succulent pieces covered with hot and tangy sauce served with a blue cheese dip. Loved the mild kick in the flavours. Next we got the Chilli garlic prawns, and man this was a winner. Decent sized prawns fried in whole with the head, sauteed in garlic, chili and parsley. Large quantity, loved it and it was quickly gobbled up by all the adults in the table.

The tomato soup was nice. felt the garlic croutons was a tad bit sweet, but the soup in itself was good.  Rissoto Fungi was a great dish for anyone who wanted a whole veggie meal. Arobico rice cooked in simmering vegetable stock with sauteed mushrooms. The earthy taste of the mushroom has perfectly embraced this dish, surely enjoyed by our family members.

Our choice for the Pizza was the Suprema, which was a wonderful ingredients mix of beef peperoni, chicken, mushroom, olives tomato sauce and herbs. Flatbread, hot off the oven, fresh and the aroma was magical. We all loved this beautiful baby. A good suggestion this by the amazing servers who took care of us.

For the dessert, we picked two canaoli for the kids wanted, what surprised us was the team, bringing out a small cheese cake for the Birthday boy, which really took him by surprise. Overall it was a fine evening, the weather was nice and the food and service was fantastic, the 50% discount made it more sweeter. Thank you guys for the good time.
