Flavours on Two - Seafood Brunch
If you are thinking of having a relaxed start to your weekend and something that doesn't involve you cooking or ordering from out and if Seafood is your choice then I would suggest to try the Flavours on Two at Towers Rotana in Sheikh Zayed Road.
The Seafood brunch every Friday's from 12.30 till 3.30 has got it all. Not a massive place but a decent size for the hotel, space is well utilized and cozy. You can get a table for a large group or for a couple as well. It was great to see the place full with people and with families, having a good time.
There was a large area for cold cuts and salads. Quiet a wide variety I should say. Good use and combination of vegetables, Quinoa, cheese, corn, potatoes, beans and the list goes on. You need to check the pictures to see the selection.
The bread selection was good too, a wide variety of breads, savories and buns. A great addition to the buffet. The cold cuts, sushi, crabs, mussels, clams, oysters,were all on selection. Not a massive selection of the Seafood Bar but what was on offer was good enough, the ingredient top quality.
Next to it was the roast section, there was a juicy piece of Lamb roast which went well with the mint sauce and the roast chicken. The server was kind enough to carve a decent size for my plate, something not many restaurants do, but here they were generous with the serving. Along with this was the pan of grilled prawns and lobsters. These were massive prawns and half cut lobsters. Beautiful flavours, perfect grilled which went well with some butter and that's it, Splendid. We loved these beauties here. They had a grilled fish and friend calamari. The seafood variety on this side of the buffet was good. Excellent choice on the menu and all perfectly executed. Wonderfully marinated fish and perfectly grilled and cooked seafood. You cant but keep coming for second servings.
One thing. which really surprised me was the Dessert selection. They said there was over 30 selections on offer. All colorful and perfectly executed work of art. From cakes, to tarts, to mousse and much more, the spread was excellent. I was fortunate enough to meet the pastry Chef Sukitha and one of his colleague who explained their passion and the love they have for the desserts. Many to name here, but we loved it all. Perfectly balance of sweet and textures and fine used of cocoa in the dishes. You gotta visit here and your trip to the dessert section will be a memorable one.
The service was excellent. Sudeesh was a charming personality who was always there to help and was attentive when we needed any help. Thank you Sudeesh for making our time there special. Overall its a great place for the family, you will not be disappointed if you plan to visit this place. You will surely love it.
