Sushi Sushi On A Roll
Located in the famous Century Village, Sushi Sushi is a landmark. I kid you not, this has been operating for the past 17 years and to survive in this market, you have to be exceptionally good and that alone is not enough. When you enter in, you will be transported to another era, the interiors will make you feel comfortable and cozy. You want tables or the sofa, you pick the rest, the passionate staff here will take care of it. You will see the Sushi conveyor belt, which is supposed to be one of the oldest in Dubai. The Chefs put out these colorful rolls which is pleasing to the eye and for appetite.
I start off with a refreshing drink of Lemon & Mint. Simple, cooling and this make you feel refined as you take the menu to go through the starters to orders. We placed an order for Vegetable tempura and Prawn tempura. Both were fried well and held its own flavour profiles, even the oil was not over powering, you can taste the freshness of the vegetables and the Prawns, which was of a decent size.
Next was the Mixed Sushi platter, which consisted of Salmon, Tuna, Prawn, California Maki , Tuna Maki. These Sushi were fantastic, and it was some of the best I have had in a while. You can smell the freshness of the meat, no stench but the pure ocean smell you get here and a dip of the wasabi, oh my my, the combination of flavours are magical. They undoubtedly have sourced the best ingredients and they buy it fresh and in regular intervals. The Head chef here is a 17 year veteran in making these amazing food. He puts his heart and passion in making each roll. I loved the flavours here.
Next was the Mix seafood Tepiniyaki this was a nice combination of fish, cuttlefish and prawns stir fried served with white rice and stir fried vegetables. The portion size was good to share and the stir fried meat was fantastic. You get some wonderful Asian flavours going on here. The food quality is very good and here you feel content having their food. Adding to this, the service here is splendid. All the servers and Chefs are cordial, friendly, Their little chit chats are a welcome and it adds to the experience and connection that someone will have with this restaurant.
