Casa Da Venice

Me Casu Su Casa

Recently opened in Jumeirah Lake Towers - Casa Da Venice is all things Venice & Italian. A family run business, who are passionate about what they do, and they truly embark on the journey to bring Venice to Dubai and to give the customers the real feel of Venice in their home, The restaurant. Once you step in you will immediately love their interiors a mix of white brick wall and dark brown furnitures. You will see small elements of Venice in their wall hangings and the wooden oars, the place can sit about 40 people inside comfortably and another 50 outside, once the weather gets cooler.

Started off with their watermelon and mint juice. Loved the refreshing taste and the crimson color of the drink in a bulb shaped bottle. Nice. Then for the starters it was Fondue Con paprika, Brushetta. The fondue comes in a cool presentation with a candle burning beneath to keep the fondue hot, cheesy and gooey fondue, to be tipped with cut bread pieces, veggies and all. A lovely deconstructed way to enjoy your stay in Venice. The Brushetta was fantastic, large size farmers bread,  garlic, chopped tomatoes and olives, lovely, each bite gives all the combinations in, fresh. Next was the Naples Pizza and Barbeque Pizza. I loved the thin crust here and the ingredients were freshly cut and made, you can get the smell a beautiful aroma from these, note that these are no meat here but yet they tasted delicious. I am a strong meat lover and these would be my last option to pick, but trust me I would have these again without even thinking. They so so good. The soy protein man that looks to real as some meat, you dont feel heavy after eating this and for sure you can go for some more. All ingredients are made in house, fresh and made from scratch. No artificial ingredients or tinned stuff here. This is fresh as it comes.

The Monalisa Pasta was so pretty as the namesake painting, a fantastic dish that has broccoli, tomatoes, parsley, creamy sauce and chilli peppers. The portion was excellent as well, highly recommended Next we tried the Maple pumpkin risotto. This is definitely their signature dish, the testing and trying behind this one is special. The owners were so passionate to wanting to give something special to their Venetians, so they perfected this one. The secret the the yellow onion, which give that distinct taste and counters the sweetness of the Maple syrup, this is definitely a bold move and it surely paid off, I loved the whole texture and flavors of this one.

Now it was dessert time, we got the Lotus killer, the Lotus thing is so huge, even they are on board. It was a decent dessert with good sweet levels, they have kept it on the low side but with the  caramel, soft candy, lotus. mnn mnn mnn it was so fine to end your perfect evening here. The Tiramisu was okay for me, would have liked a bit more flavour at least for my liking.

The restaurant, albeit opened recently they have a good customer base, the day we were there, they were prepping a large booking. They are very environment friendly, as they use reusable items and dont use plastic, even their take away bags are of cloth material. They grown most of the herbs in house, no pesticide, its all fresh. Moreover they even are going to bring a 5M long Gondola to be docked in the marina, people can sit and enjoy a truly Venetian experience here. I wish them all the
best in all their endevours.
