Rasoi Ghar - A Royal Treatment

Truly A Royal Treat

A total royal experience, located in the heart of Karama, this is a wonderful place to enjoy an amazing variety of Vegetarian cuisine. Thaali, all the way here, pure, simple but full of flavours. This has been an highly rated restaurant and have held their ground ever since. Fantastic layout, ample sitting area, they even have lower seating area for those who cherish sitting on cushions on the floor, gives a more authentic homely feel. You are greeted with warm and friendly hosts at the door who take you to your seat.

You start your meal with freshening up with the cold towels they give and then with the welcome drink, I had Kesar chandan sharbat, a simple mild flavoured drink that gets your palate ready to gore.

The difference here than other places is that they bring their started in a separate offering, there was pizza dhola, paneer lifaf aloo papdi chat and channa kebab. There was a perfect balance of high to mild spice. but all within my range of enjoyment. loved it, papdi chaat was nicem pizza dhola was a slightly hard but dipped with the chutney, it was easy to bite. Once this was done the attentive waiters cleared this to make way for the large silver place which had about 6 small holders to fill in with the curries.

The mains had oaneer patiyala, gobi kheema, aloo kanda, aaka edad, and two types of dhal and kadhi. That along with various bread types and three types of rice i'd tell you this was a feast. Each Subzis was different in flavour and texture. never to was alike. I had more of puris and several servings of paneer, aloo and gobi mutter. There are really good, wonderfully tasting food, When I Looked around I could see the place nearly packed and all enjoying their home style favourites.

For desserts there was 3 options served seperately, mango shirkhans, pineapple halwa and jalebi. Jalebi was a bit too sweet for me but the shirkhand and the hawala was yummy, I had to go for several round of those.

Overall it was a fantastic time here, servers were attentive and on their toes serving and standing by ready to fill your plate even before you could ask for. Satish, took good care of us and kept on checking on us, good job guys. We enjoyed our time here, definitely coming back for more.
