The story of Sandella's Flat Bread is interesting story, which started in 1996 in Waterford, Connecticut, USA and is now in over 100 locations reaching up to UAE, Malta, India &



Saudi Arabia. Michael J. Stimola, the man behind the brand decided to open a small coffee and sandwich shop, he wanted its name to reflect the two most important women in his life - his wife, Sandy and his mom, Ellajane, hence the name Sandella's.  Their flatbread is so fine and crispy off the oven. They have a wide variety of offer and healthy options in their salad, wraps, paninnis and pizza's. All made in house and fresh off the over. They have a decent selection of desserts and their Coffee offering is extensive and full of flavours as they use Lavazza coffee.

Mostly located within in Colleges, Universities and Corporate locations Sandella's main focus is to offer healthy food selections to customers. They have been very strong on this and it was no surprise as they were awarded the " Eat Healthy, Live Healthy" seal of approval for 3 of there menu's in a program that was conducted by the Food Safety Department of Dubai Municipality. We tried these dishes which was California Chicken Salad, Chicken Caesar Wrap and Mexican Chicken Wrap. Getting this approval was a not a easy mean they say, as they had to go go various test and checks on quality and preparation before they could be awarded this.

The salad was a mix of exotic lettuce, herbed spices, cherry tomatoes and grilled cajun chicken slices served with roasted garlic and lemon mustard dressing. This was fresh and delicious, the chicken was perfectly grilled and went well with the dressing. Ingredients used here were top quality and each bite was lovely. Next was the Chicken ceasar wrap and this chicken was smoked and came with lettuce and Parmesan cheese with ceasar sauce. Each had its own distinct flavours  and all came in unison to give out a beautiful taste in each bite loved it. The mexican chicken was another smoked chicken option, came with lettuce, tomatoes and chiptole sauce, perfect. Having these you could go for some more as you dont feel stuffed or heavy.

But still being in Sandella's you have to have their Carrot cake. This is, they say is one of their signature cakes. Perfect texture and the creme cheese was splendid. The sweet levels were great, not too sweet and you can actually taste the carrot taste as well. Overall its always a great time to spend at Sandella's. Will be coming for more.
