Located in the bustling Sheikh Hamdan Colony area in Karama, which has always been a happening place for Foodies, now have one more addition in the form of Dillicous - The Food Capital. As for the name sake Delhi being the capital of India, this is aptly named and added the delicious adage and that gives Dillicious. The minute you step in, your eyes will be greeted in the front of a Tata truck perched on the walk, this is such an cute, colorful imposing prop which tickled your trigger happy fingers to click as much as pics you like
( well I did). The interiors are cool, well designed and this gives the look and feed of an upscale dhaba.
The servers are polite and presentable, comes and explains the menu to you in detail. I ordered the Strawberry Mojito and the Paani Poori to start my affairs here. Then I was suggested to go for the Murg Lasooni Kebab as well. The Mojito was decent, fresh and I liked the presentation of it. The Paani poori came on a cute colorful Ferris wheel.
This was cool I thought and when there are kids in your midst they would love the deconstructed form so the can have fun setting it up. well for sure I did. Loved them PP's here. The Murg lasooni was about 9 bite size pieces of chicken, perfectly marinated in their special mixes and yoghurt. Each bite was delish as along with the tender bite of the chicken you fully get the flavours of the rest of the ingredients.
For the main we went for their famed Dhaba ki Dhaal and Murg hyderabadi along with Missi ritto and Garlic Naan. The Dhaal was a special mixes of 5 varieties of dhal, which they perfected over a period of mixing and tasting, slow cooked and the amalgamation of all these dhaal varieties creates its own distinct flavour, this along with the Garlic Naan is more than enough. The taste was so splendid as I could not put down my hands digging into this dellicious gravy. Next was the Hyderabadi Murg, which was ok for me, the meat was tender and the dish was a decent take for me. The Missi Roti was very nice, this was made from ground floor and had some nice gentle condiment mix to this and that too elevated the flavour explosions that we were having here.
Now its D time and from their varieties on offer I went for the Mango Kulfi, and I was expecting the same cone as you get anywhere, but what I presented was a cute take on the traditional Kulfi, It was sliced in the shape of a mango and on the inside was the kulfi. Another Dillicious hit here. You will surely miss the stick and the cone but the taste and the sweet balance will thrill you. The presentations are on point. They dont hold back to tell us that they are an upscale Dhaba but holding onto the traditional feel and virtues that made it a part of many millions heart.
Come here, spend time with your family and reminiscence your past with each dish, let the aroma transport you to your mom's kitchen and to your favorite Dhaba. If Delhi is too far,
The Dillicious Food Capital is nearby. Come and Enjoy.
