It just stokes me to see people with passion doing what they so love doing. Here is one family owned and operate business, doing what they do the best. Cook. They not only cook but they perfect it, thus is the back story of Cluckers Wood Roast Chicken, owned by Mr. Bassam and his Wife. Their story go back a long way and their journey long and despite many challenges they have always risen and now this restaurant is a sign of their success in the culinary take. Bassam is a trained chef for over 2 decades and his love for the art of cooking really drove him to come up with this brand. As the name says, they roast their chicken with food fire. The oven they use is imported and one of the best in the market. He took me near the oven and showed me how it works and how the fat of the chicken just drips off, making it full meat and with no oil. The taste was still pending.

The area is decent, tight set up and can squeeze in nearly 40 pax, decent decorations, with plant hanging, here you feel a cozy atmosphere, you can see part of the kitchen as well. They give you a smoked wheat soup, as a first timer I loved it, wheat is smoked in the oven and has got small chicken pieces, loved it with a sprinkle of pepper and salt. Next was the Eggplant, which was wood roast too, comings with diced cucumber, tomatoes. onions. etc. Again a first time for me, loved it. Loved the presentations here. They have  variety of fresh juices too. We had about 5 people and each picked a flavour. I tried the Tamarind juice, some went for Orange, Mango, Strawberry, etc. Freshly made, delicious. I loved the Tamarind juice. which had a balance of sweet and sour.

For the mains we ordered, roasted half chicken. Stuffed chicken breast, Grilled meat balls, Rosto beef. To put it in a nutshell. man these were amazing. I loved the half chicken. perfectly cooked, thin layer of crisp on the wing and the meat was juicy and full off flavours. You get 3 different dips, herb sauce, chilli sauce and pineapple and chilly sauce. Yamo these ones. Loved the pineapple with along with the chilli, adds a nice after taste. loved it. The Roast beef was excellent. Perfectly smoked, easy to eat and soft, the mushroom sauce was excellent. The stuffed breast was perfect, herbs, spices and cheese stuffed. Loved it too, even the meatballs. perfect, The portion size were good.

Apart from serving at tables. they have deliveries, and in the meanwhile we were there we saw about 20 orders flying through the doors to feed the chicken hungry people. The place was packed too, It is always a pleasure to see restaurants being back to the brim.

UAE is a land of opportunities and anyone brave enough to venture into some that they believe, well you will surely be rewarded for your hard work. This family had worked hard and they are reaping their reward. We wish them well and more success by opening more outlets to give the best  Wood Roasted Chicken to the customers.
