Cabin So Cool

 I definitely loved this place, I have got a new bug of finding some off track restaurants, but got a simplistic, rustic look but serves some amazing food. Have seen pics of this in Instagram and thought of visiting them. The location may look a bit off ( not the usual area you drive by) as its in the Barsha south area, near the Dubai Science park area. Located in the corner by the main road, The Cabin is an interesting place. The outdoor area covered with white tarpaulin shades, shed enough light into the area. These days you can image sitting out during the day but I guess the evenings are still a bit cooler. The rustic look welcomes you when you enter, you can see areas of books, drawing paraphernalia, vinyl records all adding the nuances for the place such as this. Simple but beautiful.

You take a few steps down and go in to the main area, where you see the open  kitchen, they have nothing to hide, what you see is what you get.  Cool seating areas, with touch of leather and wood, green plants and wheat looking chandeliers, all add life to this place. It cozy, warm and pleasant, they have a large screen as well showing the live matches. 

 


The menu is simple and easy to understand, with the ingredients all mentioned. I ordered the strawberry lemonade. It came is a decent stout glass, taste was a tad bit sour, would have liked it to be a bit more sweet for my taste. Then for the main I ordered the spring roast chicken, which is cooked in wrapped foil, with carrots, beets, and some other veggies. I'll tell you, this was one of the best chicken roasted chicken that I have taste, It was a tad bit spicy, but that loved it. really great dish. I loved this, they got the perfect marination here, portion size was good but would have wanted a bit more slices of the chicken, because it was so damn fine piece of meat.

The service was good, staff were friendly, got to meet the man behind the scene, Michael, gave me a low down of the brand, the vision etc. This is once place for those who seek off beat joints, you looking for a good place to spend some time with some top quality food, The Cabin is your place.
