Bombay To Mumbai Cafe

All Roads Lead To Mumbai

We had visited this place last week, the hotel has been one of our popular hang out place for over 15 years. but gradually things have changed, which has brought new life to this land mark hotel. Bombay to Mumbai Cafe is a great place, and essentially as the name beckons its a cross over, the food is fusion and the essence is to bring nostalgia from an era gone by. Street food from Bombay,,, if you miss home and its food points, you come here to get reignited.

The place is well designed, having table settings and sofa setting and the high chairs too. Interesting wall hangings, of drawing that inspired a generation is openly displayed. They have a decent sized bar and a separate seating area near by as well. More to this. they have a live band that plays are 8.30 everyday.

We started with a long island ice tea and a pineapple juice. The ice tea was great, it had 5 mixes.. loved it.  Then we had the Chicken Tikka nana keesh. No. not manakis but nanakish... Chicken tiik in naan and cut into decent slices. It was a tad spicy for me. but loved it, didnt put it down, You can mention your preferred spice levels, they will make it perfect. The aloo ke nazakat was a nice twist, the presentation was good and the ingredient mixed with cottage cheese was delish, still a bit spicy for me but the overall dish was fine.

We ordered Chicken biriayani, mutter panner, chicken ticka masala and some butter naan. We loved all the combination here, biriayani was perfect and the smell was aromatic, decent size chikcen pieces which was good for 2 ppl. Tikka masala was excellent with the naan. overall this spice levels were perfect and the flavours  were fantastic. You get the authentic Indian spices and curry powders and mixes, all in unison, saying this is us, enjoy it, love and live the Mumbai moments here. This is truly ammichi mumbai experience.

The service here was fantastic from the entrance, greeted by Mona, who was graceful, and took us around and explained their concept to Francis, who took good care of us. They made us feel welcome and celebrated and we as customers loved it. Definitely coming back here
